Our room rates are a flat hourly rate for rooms that have built-in audio-visual equipment. These rooms include the Great Lakes Room, Forum Hall, Plaza Room and our Zoom Room Boardrooms 4 & 5. The rooms have built in AV equipment. For Great Lakes Room there is a 3 hour minimum reserve time for Non UM Departments and UM Departments . We are here to make your events easier for you. No more carrying your own equipment across campus. One of our skilled staff members will have the AV ready to go when you walk in your room!
Great Lakes Room
The Great Lakes Room is a 3200-square-foot divisible multipurpose room. It accommodates up to 224 seats for meals and 274 seats for auditorium style events. Inside the room there are four 4K Laser Projectors with the option of displaying on 4 individual 75x120 drop down projection screens. The 30-foot windows in the surrounding atrium afford a beautiful view of Palmer Field and the architecture of the Hill Area buildings.

Forum Hall
Forum Hall is a 140-seat state-of-the-art auditorium that offers a wide array of audio/visual services to fit almost any presentation need. The built in 4K Laser Projector displays on a 110x176 high contrast screen, making the most detailed images displayed in industry standard high definition. We offer ADA accessible seating on two levels in Forum Hall: on the main floor via the fourth floor entrance as well as the rear of the auditorium via the fifth floor entrance. This room has exquisite views of Palmer Field and Hill Residence Halls.

The Great Lakes North Central or South Central is a 2400-square-foot multipurpose ballroom. The space splits into 2 sections that can used in combination with each other or as separate spaces. The entire room accommodates up to 144 seats for meals and 200 seats for auditorium style events.
North/Central provides 3 4K Laser Projectors with the option of displaying on 1 or 2 separate 75x120 drop down projection screens. South/Central provides 2 projectors to display on 1 or 2 separate drop down screens. The reception atrium space just outside the ballroom has 30-foot windows that have exquisite views of Palmer Field and the Hill Residence Halls.

Executive Boardrooms 4 & 5-Zoom Rooms
Our executive boardrooms 4 & 5 have been recently upgraded to U-M Zoom Room. Each contains an 86 inch LG Nano Smart TV, a Polycom X70 auto tracking HD video/audio bar, and a touch screen control panel that allows you to start your meetings with the touch of a button. These rooms also allows for wireless screen sharing of any content from any device by simply inputting a share key when you enter the meeting. Remote participants can view the content being shared as well as see and hear people in the room as if they were there. You can also utilize the TV without using zoom in place of a portable projector. These meeting spaces are perfect for groups between 14 and 20 people.
Included in Executive Boardroom 4 & 5 bundled rates rental is an additional audio visual package with the following pieces of equipment:

Plaza Room
The Plaza Room is a computer lab or boardroom adjacent to Palmer Commons' main lobby located on the third floor. With an projector, a twenty-seat boardroom table and fifteen stations featuring PC and Mac terminals, this room is perfect for boardroom-style meetings or training sessions.

Boardrooms 1-3
These rooms are designed for smaller meetings that can hold up to 15 people. Each room has a U-shaped conference table layout with 15 chairs around the perimeter. In the front of each room there is a projection screen and whiteboard. Projectors are not included in the room price. The free room listed here can be booked by student organizations for up to 30hrs per term, after those hours an hourly rate of $4.00 will be charged.
